07.09 Kendall College: The Research Is In Kendall College recently concluded a year-long research initiative to analyze its market position and develop a revitalized brand strategy for the growing school. Synergy has been selected as the agency of record to translate the research into dynamic, results-driven creative for prospective and current students, faculty, professional trades and Chicago community. New positioning statements are in the works, and the new campaign is anticipated to debut in early 2010. Stay tuned!

 

06.09 NSAD Collaborates with Synergy on Rebrand San Diego’s NewSchool of Architecture & Design (NSAD) has partnered with Synergy to revamp the school’s identity and creative brand strategy. The lineup includes a website overhaul, targeted advertising campaign, direct mail, new program launches as well as a full series of print collateral its various audiences. The creative overhaul is in the works, and it rolling out this summer to welcome architecture and design students to classes in the fall and beyond.

 

05.09 Synergy Takes Top Two Awards for Ad Campaigns The Gold and Silver Awards in the 2009 Admissions Marketing Awards competition for Total Advertising Campaigns were presented to Synergy. The fresh creative print and outdoor campaign for Harrington College of Design took the top spot, with the enrollment advertising campaign for Kendall College finishing with the Silver. Synergy was also recognized for its out-of-home campaign for Minnesota’s Brown College in this year’s competition.

 

05.09 Harrington Viewbook Wins More Prestigious Awards Harrington’s new all-program Viewbook won the top-spot Platinum Award in the 2009 Hermes Creative Awards, as well as the Bronze in the rigorous Summit Creative Awards competition. Capturing the essence of the Harrington brand, the new Viewbook distinguishes the college’s innovative design programs from other art and design schools vying for aspiring creative students.

 

02.09 Kendall College Passion Continues Kendall’s campaign “Passion. Meet Practical.” blasted the higher education scene late last summer and has been going strong ever since. Billboards, online ad saturation, strategic print insertions, digital bus kings and sponsorship events have contributed to the surge in record-breaking Open House events in 2009.

 

11.08 Kendall College Passion Campaign – The Excitement Continues Kendall’s new campaign is creating quite a buzz! “Passion Meets Practical” continues to take the city by storm with billboards, local media saturation, hard-hitting email blasts and strategic web advertising. An unprecedented amount of attendees packed the house at Kendall’s November Open House – record numbers for the multi-disciplinary college!

09.08 Synergy Sweeps Award Competitions Recognized repeatedly for outstanding college viewbook design, Synergy wins the prestigious Hermes Platinum and the Gold Communicator Awards for Kitchen Academy, as well as the Silver Communicator Award for Brooks College. Synergy won the Gold Communicator Award in the annual reports category for St. James Hospital as well.

 

08.08 AIU National Brand Campaign Makes Waves Synergy’s “This is My Kind of University” brand relaunch for AIU has been shaking things up since it’s initial media blast in early 2008. The results are in and the crowd loves it! Winning the Silver Communicator Award for the entire campaign and taking the Gold for radio, “This is My Kind of University” is making an impact on messaging to the higher education audience and driving results in student enrollment.

 

03.08 Harrington College of Design a Winner Five Years Running

The 23rd Annual Admissions Advertising Awards once again honored Synergy Creative for its strategic design solutions on behalf of Harrington College of Design. The new Tuition Planning Guide and Parents Brochure extended the creative campaign to additional audiences in 2007, and it continues to help build the college’s reputation as Chicago’s premier design school, offering top interior design, photography and communication design programs.

 

03.08 Synergy Leads National Brand Relaunch

“This is My Kind of University,” a new brand campaign for American InterContinental University (AIU) hit the national media in early 2008. The campaign is appearing across the country in major market newspapers, on radio and various out-of-home and mass transit avenues to promote the school’s five ground campuses and online university. The advertising campaign reflects a reinvigorated brand platform and sets the stage for a full-scale internal and external initiative to follow throughout the year. 02.08 Annual Reports Win Top Recognition at SIAA 2008

A national panel of judges recently commended Synergy Creative on several fronts with awards across the categories. Three annual reports were winners in this year’s largest-ever competition. ShoreBank, American Association of Diabetes Educators and Children’s Oncology Services annual reports were recognized for their creativity, execution, quality and overall breakthrough content. Also a winner was the Pediatric Residency Brochure that Synergy Creative developed on for Chicago’s Children’s Memorial Hospital.

11.07 “Be the Chef” Wins Top Recognition in Admissions Advertising Awards

The 22nd Admissions Advertising Awards announced Synergy Creative as winner of Gold for its Direct Mail Campaign for Kitchen Academy, a professional culinary school with two campuses in California. More than 2,100 entries representing more than 1,200 colleges competed for this year’s accolades. Admissions Advertising Awards is the oldest and largest educational advertising awards competition in the country. A national panel of admissions marketers, advertising creative directors, and marketing and advertising professionals handpicked the creative champions for 2007.

 

11.07 Synergy Takes Top International Creative Award

Synergy Creative is the proud recipient of the Summit Gold Award 2007 for its Harrington Design Residency campaign. Targeted to top-tier interior design, graphic communication and photography firms, the campaign helps the college build relationships with employers in the creative fields it serves by helping place students in coveted internship positions at these firms.

Synergy also took home Silver for its On Health Magazine, which is produces for St. James Hospital and Health Centers.

The Summit Creative Awards recognizes and celebrates the accomplishments of vertising agencies and other creative groups with billings less that $25 million. Over the last decade, the competition has established itself as the premier arbiter of creative excellence for firms of this size. Entries in 13 creative categories, from 26 countries were judged in his year’s competition based on innovation and creativity, as well as strong execution and ability to persuade and communication.

 

10.07 Children’s Oncology Services Earns a Gold for First-ever Annual Report

 “Cancer is Part of My Life. So is Camp.” These powerful words that led the campaign for Children’s Oncology Services, Inc (COSI) caught the attention of judges at the 2007 Hermes Creative Awards who awarded the Gold to Synergy for the organization’s high-impact annual report. Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition for creative professionals and is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. The annual report is just one component of the full-scope campaign Synergy has developed for COSI, designed to raise funds, awareness and participation in the non-profits various programs dedicated to improving the quality of life of children and adolescents diagnosed with cancer.

 

09.07 AADE Engages Synergy to Develop Creative Strategy

The American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE), a professional association supporting the expertise of diabetes educators nationwide, has retained Synergy to develop the organization’s positioning collateral and annual report. Geared toward members, as well as legislators, health care partners and other influencers, the communication strategy will seek to establish a stronger, more consistent brand presence for AADE and lay the groundwork for future growth.
